Accidents happen despite everyone’s best efforts…

Would tool box talks, fact sheets and in-house training sessions qualify as “adequate” as defined by the various Acts and regulations such as the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974), Working at Height Regulations (2005), PUWER (1998) etc.? Similarly, could the trainer or writer be described as “competent”? Which is also a legal requirement!!

If the HSE decided that these measures weren’t sufficient the consequences could be very expensive, not to mention the public damage to a businesses reputation and financial standing. The fines alone can run into tens, or even hundreds, of thousands of pounds at least.

On the other hand, if you can produce certification that proves training was provided using a formerly accredited Instructor backed by a recognised body such as PASMA, IPAF or the Ladder Association etc. it s far more likely that it would be concluded that you had done everything that could be reasonably expected. Indeed … it is far less likely that the accident to have occurred in the first place.

So why take the risk? For a relatively modest sum put your mind at rest by training your staff using highly qualified Instructors delivering industry and nationally recognized accredited qualifications.

HGV Driver Class 1 – Daventry

HGV Driver Class 1

The Location:

Daventry, NN11 4HB


The Job:

Due to the growth of the company, the position of a LGV/HGV Class 1 qualified collection and delivery driver has become available, to join our busy team in Daventry.


You:

Candidates must be qualified to LGV class 1, hold a digital tachocard, Driver CPC. Training will be provided where relevant PAL elements are not currently held. I.e. IPAF 3a 3b + PAV 1b – Load/Unload, Demonstrator and Harness.


The Backup:

Lifterz is experiencing good growth and wants its HGV Drivers to grow and develop with us and offers a continuing programme of personal development. In house and external training courses are provided on an ongoing basis.


The Pay:

The Salary offered will be based on experience and track record but we will hope that we can offer a basic of between £27,300 and £30,000 to the right fully experienced Powered Access delivery drivers.


The Hours:

50 hours per week, this is based on a minimum of 5 × 10hr, working days. Overtime is offered as and when required. Some Saturday/Sunday work will be required.


Vehicle:

Mid-size van, Ford Transit Custom – VW Transporter type.

The Job:

Due to the growth of the company, the role of hire desk controller has become available.

As the link from Sales to Service you will have responsibility for ensuring every customer order is completed on time and in full to specification. The role requires excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to react to changing demands in a professional manner. You will Deliver an excellent customer experience both internal and external in line with the Lifterz Company value drivers and champion company behaviours in everything you do.


Accountabilities:

Safety

  • Work safely at all times and proactively promote a culture of safe working within your work area
  • Achievement of key QEHS indicators within area of responsibility
  • Responsible for ensuring that all hires are compliant with relevant legislation
    as a minimum

Quality

  • Ensure all hires meet the highest standards when completing the hire process
  • Ensure compliance to all operational procedures to Lifterz’s standard processes
  • Support Service Foreman in maintaining an appropriate ready line linked to demand.

Cost

  • Provide the most cost effective solution when creating a hire agreement
  • Support ‘Sell The Hire’ when providing a hire solution that generates maximum profitability
  • Engage in continuous improvement activity to maximise operational efficiency

Delivery

  • Achieve all Delivery KPI’s consistent with company values.
  • Work effectively and in parallel with Transport team, ensuring assets are on time and in full.

The Location:

The Job:

Our hire fleet of 1,300 platforms and also 400 external service contracts generates a considerable amount of administration and planning such as organizing and planning the workload of our team of external service engineers. Continuing growth has led to the need for an additional person to help with the growing workload.


You:

Previous experience in a similar role would be good but above all you will be friendly and have a lively and positive personality. You will need to have a ‘Yes’ and a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ mentality in order to help us meet our continuing growth expectations. We would consider a modern apprenticeship position or maybe inexperience if you can demonstrate the right aptitude and attitude.


The Backup:

Lifterz is experiencing good growth and wants its people to grow and develop with us and offers a continuing programme of personal development. In house and manufacturer training courses are provided on an ongoing basis.


The Pay:

The Salary offered will be based on suitability and experience and track record but we expect to pay an initial salary in the band of £14k to £16k. rising after the probationary period.


Bonus?

Yes and it’s paid monthly. On current performances it will add about 10-15% to your basic salary.


The Hours?

08:00am – 5:00pm 5 days per week.

The Job:

Managing a portfolio of existing customer accounts, dealing with customer enquiries and needs. Quoting and winning orders. Profiling customers to provide correct pricing. Advising and recommending appropriate equipment for the customers’ needs.


You:

You should have experience in looking after customers preferably within the hire industry, but this is not essential. You will be friendly and have a lively and attractive personality with a “can do” attitude.


The Backup:

Lifterz is experiencing good growth and wants its people to grow and develop with us and offers a continuing programme of personal development. In house and manufacturer training courses are provided on an ongoing basis.


The Pay:

The Salary offered will be based on experience and track record but the initial starting salary we will be in the region of £17k


Bonus?

Yes – Lifterz run a competitive monthly individual bonus scheme.


The Hours:

08:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
